Uday Chopra’s Tweets Revealed His Sportsmanship!

Doesn’t it feel great getting an award? Remember how you felt when you were a child and received best student of the year award or a sports award for performing in the athletic events? Answering in one word, I’d say you felt GREAT, isn’t it? But how would you have felt had you received an award for performing the worst in the studies or sports, or any other thing? Well, it’s quite a tricky situation; you never know how to react, right? But our Bollywood stars don’t miss a single chance to feel happy and enjoy! Recently Uday Chopra tweeted about the award he received even though it was for being worst!

Uday chopra’s film Pyaar Impossible got the Worst Film of the Year Award by Annual Ghanta Awards! The film did really well in the ‘Worst’ category as it also bagged away with the Worst Couple Award! Uday did really well to prove his chemisty with Priyanka Chopra worst! Performing worst is as difficult a task as performing well, not all movies get nominated in this category and neither all of them get awarded! Annual Ghanta Awards did see the pains Uday took in making his movie Worst and awarded him and he showed his sporting spirit by accepting the award!

Uday Chopra’s tweet went this way, “I know I shouldn't be tweeting this but found it hard to resist. PI wins worst film. Im actually excited by this..lol” To which Abhichek Bachchan replied, “well brada, like i always say, some award is better than none! regardless of the category. CONGRATULATIONS!!!”

Interestingly, Abhishek’s wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan too is a proud owner of the Worst actress award. She received the awards in two films namely Robot and Raavan! Now this only she can say whether she is really proud of the award or not!

Uday’s sportsmanship got reflected in one more of his tweets, “ha ha thanks BRADA!!! I shall celebrate this in my own way, by staying at home...lol” Seriously, people like Uday make Bollywood flashing with sportsmanship!! Perhaps our Film Industry has more spirited players than our sports teams!!

Celebrity Twitterers In Trouble For Controversial Tweets!

Twitter is one of the largest social networking platforms with its really large number of users. The number of Twitter users at the moment is about 190 million but the number is constantly increasing and you never know when it reaches a blasting limit!! And its approx. 190 million users are busy producing about 65 million tweets every day.

This suggests that if you are a frequent Twitterer, your tweets have a really vast audience! And every word that your tweets speak has to be cautiously chosen for you never know who’s going to come across your tweet and who will then retweet them, and finally how the readers are going to react to them.

Twitter is the most popular social media platform and creates the same effects as the print media or the radio or television broadcast does. One wrong comment and you are gone forever. You never know if somebody uses your tweets to create a controversy or bring defamation for you. And even if the matter doesn’t go that bad and that far, they can still put you in embarrassing situations if they are not posted with caution.

This is what happened with some of the celebrity twitterers. Courtney Love’s controversial Twitter posts have not only brought her a lot of insult but have also brought her severe monitory losses as well. Her comments on fashion designer Dawn Simonrangkir has cost her millions of pounds as defamation claims. Her tweets have damaged her to a really great extent.

Similar to Courtney’s case, Ryan Babel too created a storming controversy through his Twitter posts. His Twitter post related to Howard Webb, the referee of the recent Manchester United Vs Liverpoool FA Cup game immensely damaged the footballer’s reputation bringing him instant defamatory comments from the audiences as well as sports critics.

It is not that only the popular Twitterers or the celebrities on Twitter who have to face such troubles, even the commoners on Twitter can be in trouble due to their controversial tweets. And it is not just the movie, rock, or sport stars who actively post Twitter updates. There are several many famous and not so famous, big and not so big businesses advertising and promoting their companies, services, and products through Twitter. Then there are the news makers or the journalists, the politicians, and even the enthusiastic citizens from the world over, who keep tweeting from time to time. And if they forget to be a little cautious before posting their tweets, they too may have to face storming tribulations!

So next time when you post a comment against your competitors, or overly popularize your product or service through tweets, just remember if your comments are controversial or promotions are baseless, you too may have to pay huge penalties!

Celebrity Tweets Bring Them Near Us

Bollywood Celebrities On TwitterWhat’s the fastest means to know what’s happening in a Bollywood celeb’s life? Google fans will surely say Google up, you’ll come to know!! TV fans won’t miss a single chance of praising the TV channels and their efforts, after all they can’t miss watching TV, and if praising lets them watch more, that’s a real gain for them, isn’t it!!

But do the TV channels or online news sites really get you the most current of the happenings? Media can approach a star either before or after a particular show and they can reach them even when the show is on but will they reach them when they are resting in the green rooms and are not ready to face the media? Surely they can’t but of course you can!!

You can reach a Bollywood star’s green room, even his drawing room, and even when they are holidaying in some private islands and that too without actually going there! Well, this is possible because they are really ready to meet you, tell you what they are doing, share what they feel, and because they are always tweeting!

So Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Shahid Kapoor were at the Twenty-Twenty Cricket Match in Durban that took place between South Africa and India and their mesmerizing performances made their fans go really happy, snappy, and exuberantly lost in the cricket fever by their superbly scintillating performances!!

Of course, Google have got you all the latest information, even the best of the pics directly from the show, and the news sites would have got you all the latest updates from the show and the match and you’d be able to check out the stars’ interview from the TV channels too but how about getting the personal presence felt? How about knowing how the stars felt after the show, perhaps when they were at home, the media wasn’t present, and no interviewer was around? Now this kind of intimacy with the stars can’t be imagined without their presence on Twitter. Just a little tweet tells more about a celebrity than anyone else.

The stars were really excited about the show to be held in Durban, this is what one of the Shahid’s tweets suggests, “So heading to south Africa for a show… Love the audience there… Love live concerts..” Perhaps he tweeted this on his way to the concert, when there wasn’t anyone around to take his interview!

The show went superb, but weren’t the stars exhausted? Well, they aren’t supermen or spidermen they would have definitely! But how would you know? Simple read their tweets and know when they are genuinely sad, happy, angry and tired. Their exhaustion was revealed by Shahid’s another tweet, “Blown…. Half asleep.. Heading back homie… 50 thousand people at the mosis mabida stadium.. Loved it”

It is really undeniable that celebrity tweets do bring them near, indeed nearer than they are brought by TV channels or any other media!

Social Networking Sites - Present Day Benefactor For Bollywood Newbies

Do you think things are getting complicated with the recent developments in technology? Well, I believe exactly the opposite; the technological developments are not complicating things but are rather making the things uncomplicated. Distances have contracted, world has come near, what we have today was not even imagined just 25 years back.

Watch Your Favorite Celebrities On Twitter

So you are a struggling actor, or an amateur writer, or a rookie in the field of music you hardly have to worry the way strugglers had to worry just 15 years back or so. The so called social networking sites and micro-blogging sites like Facebook, Twitter, etc have made struggling not so struggle-some task!!

Strugglers today get global opening. They get to interact with like minded people from all over the world which also opens before them global opportunity to prove their talents. Various online forums let you learn the tricks of the trades you are aspiring to pursue in. The social networking sites make you aware of the latest job opportunities and requirements, and then there are special communities and groups where even the experts tell you what you need to do to succeed in your field.

A typical day of a Bollywood struggler today starts by checking out the latest Twitter updates or Facebook updates by the various groups specifically meant for the newbie actors, singers, and so on. There are several such groups that keep updating the latest requirements to help the strugglers find placement in the tough world of Bollywood. Then there are several support groups helping newcomers find their ways out of the misleading clutter all around them.

Well renowned film director Subhash Ghai who also has a film school in Mumbai says that today the talents are respected; actors, musicians, and even the technicians get hired by globally recognized recruiters today. The talents from India get to compete with the world class players. He is quite right in saying this, as it is not just movies the newcomers have to focus upon, there are numerous other opportunities like film training institutes, grooming centers, etc.

But could a person do all this without the present day’s technology, without the presence of social networking and micro blogging sites like Facebook and Twitter? Certainly not, how can you think of keeping in touch with people residing far off from you? After all, one can’t think of flying to New York and taking the connecting flight to Paris in search of opportunities for artists and actors! In fact one can’t even think of taking a local train and move around Mumbai the film city the whole day long!!

But one can certainly think of clicking around various social sites and fixing up the meetings with Bollywood messiahs guiding on these sites as there are various Bollywood stars, especially directors and filmmakers who try contacting newbies for there movies using the social sites. That’s indeed a far more possible and practical way to fulfill your dream of turning into a Bollywood star one day!

Twitter Highlights of Politically Incorrect Tinsel Town Stars

Just 140 characters at a time and that is what all you need to be in the limelight of 21st century.

Box office is not sparkling too much as big budget movies like Guzaarish, Kites and Raavan had fallen disastrously on big screen. But in spite if this autumn the stars are shinning bright with secret tattles and spilling the beans on Twitter and television shows.

Bollywood Celebrities On Twitter

Though the onscreen spirits were less high and lacked spice in 2010 but the micro blogging site Twitter was gleaming smart with top highlights, hearty feelings and grudging comments. From oldies of Bollywood to budding newbies …all are set on Twitter with overwhelming to sarcastic comments and from promoting their films to blaming the editors for the fall of film.

Walking the trace line of ‘any publicity is good publicity’, stars are overly prepared to comment anything and everything out crying controversial statements and going public to shout their grievances in just minimum sentences through Twitter.

The coolest way to connect with fans and friends, Twitter is becoming a hot favorite place to showcase the triumphs plus promoting films and the attached contentions. Few among them was the clash between 3Idiots’ producers and Chetan Bhagat for the diminished credit given to the writer for the movie and that really made him upset.

Previous to that was Shahrukh’s airport detention incident in United States dominated the Twitter highlights and thereafter in 2010 it continued when Shiv Sena threatened the release of much awaited movie crafted on the theme of 26/11 – My Name is Khan.

Where microblogging is taking over the stars…the twittering funda is becoming a war zone of celebrities. The ShiveSena-MNIK controversy, clashes between Shobha De, Punit and Sonam Kapoor, gaga of the sizzling chemistry between Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori in spite of Kites falling down in the air, break up of Deepika Padukone and Ranbeer Kapoor, all are the hot trending topics of Twitter with spicy tweets gathering up together to entertain common men but the most profitable part is that the website is gaining popularity worldwide.

So keep tweeting guys….after all we can enjoy the celebrity spark and zest off screen too!
